So, you’ve been absolutely nailing your healthier January but, if you’re anything like us, by mid-month you’ll be starting to fantasise about homely and comforting food. New research launched by Sainsbury’s shows that two thirds of us spend nearly a full day extra on the sofa at this time of year, eating comfort food, despite the fact that 70% of us want to be healthier in the New Year.

 

But there’s no reason to give up on your new health kick when you want some delicious food – because Sainsbury’s have done the hard work for you and developed some seriously comforting food that’ll keep the hunger pangs at bay. You’re going to make it through – we promise.

 

Cauliflower cheese with anchovies

The anchovies in this recipe add an incredibly rich saltiness, meaning you'll need less cheese – not that you'll know it.

Chicken cacciatore

Cacciatore means 'hunter' in Italian and this rustic hunter's stew, flavoured with anchovies, celery and a whole head of garlic, might just blow your socks off. Which is, of course, a very good thing.
