Make Believe Costume Design Competition for one lucky winner a chance to get their costume made for next year's World Book Day.

Prize

We're giving one lucky winner a chance to get their costume made for next year's Make Believe.

1. The competition opens on 29 February 2016 and will close midnight on 7 March 2016.

2. This promotion is open to UK residents. Entrants must be aged between 2-12 years old and their entry must be submitted by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. Only one entry per person.

3. To enter the competition, send us a picture of your design for a Make Believe costume in the comments on the relevant social media post or pick up an entry form in our reading corners in store. Postal entries can also be submitted to Make Believe Dress Up Competition, c/o Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd, Cedar Building, Draken Drive, Ansty Park, Ansty, Coventry, CV7 9RD. All entries must be received by 7 March 2016.

4. All entries must include contact details. Postal entries must also include name, home address and email address. This information will only be used to inform the winner. Proof of postage is not proof of delivery.

5. The winner will be selected on 14 March 2016 from all entries received as being the design which will, in the opinion of our Sainsbury’s panel, translate into a great new costume which will fit well into our range. The prize is to see your winning design translated into a costume which will be sold in Sainsbury’s stores in Spring/Summer 2017.

6. By entering the competition, entrants, by parental/guardian permission, confirm that their design is their own original work and not copied. Entrants agree, when submitting their work, that should their design be the winning entry, the copyright in the design will be owned by Sainsbury’s and that Sainsbury’s may reproduce the design for commercial purposes without payment or acknowledgement to the winner.

7. We regret entries cannot be returned and all entries, except the winning entry and one reserve, will be deleted or destroyed.

8. The winner will be notified via email on 15 March 2016 to the email address provided at entry. The prize must be claimed by 22 March 2016. In the event that the winner does not claim the prize by this date, the prize will be forfeited and a reserve winner will be chosen.

9. The winner is chosen at our discretion and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into regarding the final decision.

10. The winning costume will be made for our Spring/Summer 2017 Make Believe range. It may be necessary to make slight changes to the design to accommodate the manufacturing process. The costume will be made to fit an age range of 3-12 years. The costume will be sold in larger Sainsbury’s stores and/or online.

11. The prize is as stated and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. There is no cash alternative. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond their control.

12. By entering the competition, the winner agrees to engage, if requested, in reasonable publicity including the use of their name and/or image in publicity and/or advertising in all media without payment. The name of the winner will be available upon request to social.media@sainsburys.co.uk
