Ingredients

  • 125g unsalted butter
  • 150ml runny honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 500g Taste the Difference whole, rolled porridge oats
  • 500g fruit, nuts and seeds mix
  • 100g mixed nuts
  • Greek style yogurt, to serve
  • 1 pear, sliced, to serve

Method

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 160°C, fan 140°C, gas mark 3. Melt the butter with the honey and vanilla essence in a small pan.
  2. 2 Mix the oats, berries, nuts and seeds, and mixed nuts into the melted butter mixture and stir well.
  3. 3 Spread out over a large baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until golden.
  4. 4 Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month.
  5. 5 Crumble into be good to yourself Greek style natural probiotic yogurt and add half a peeled and sliced pear for a tasty breakfast option.
  6. 6 Cook's tip: This granola is also great in fruity desserts. Try coring an apple and stuff with granola, then bake until soft and serve with ice cream; or make your favourite crumble recipe and add a handful of granola to the crumble mix for an crunchy topping.
