Mash the cannellini beans in a bowl with a fork. Mix in the cumin, coriander and garlic. Season, then shape into 12 balls.
Dip each ball first into the beaten egg, then into the sesame seeds to coat.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden.
Serve in toasted pitta breads with lettuce and sliced tomato for a yummy lunch.
